From the desk 9/16/13


Hello Friends, Today has been a chilly day outside here in my region. 2Moro I am getting a surgery...that I am NOT looking forward to whatsoever. Its a routine procedure that I must get done in order to stay alive put it like that we will...my point is I'm very sick of having to go through the routine of getting poked with needles/IVs/meds..And then we come to the Propaphal/Diprivan the anesthisia that they use to put me to "sleep" is deadly and bad all around for me, especially the fact it is used on me multiple times a year..now this is only one of the major health issues I deal with if you know me, you already know I deal with the Fibromyaglia monster and all that comes with it. NOW I usually try to not talk about my health to the public because I am not a Victim and No need for sympathy, compassion yes I'll take that. I have tried many natural ways of dealing with my health and have had small luck so far BUT I do wholeheartedly feel that the NATURAL world of medicine is where I WILL find my cure...Thats my ultimate goal and I will succeed. :-)Something else that has been bothering me a lot lately is the War on Syria vastly approaching....this saddens my heart. I can just see in my mind/heart the anguish and  misery that those poor innocent people and  CHILDREN are going to have to go through. There should never be war,  There are ways of talking things out but this is all one big SICK game for the big bros. club and they make money in many ways from these acts...disgust!  Anyway thats all I will say about that right now........I do have a topic for this blog i just need to get this junk out first lol...ok The BlogI wrote Is about something all of us need COMPASSION

The world is full of suffering. Holding on to hurt and our own suffering guarantees a world of continuing pain, dysfunction, disconnection, failure, and misery. I personally believe one way to conquering this negativity is to develop compassion and mercy in our lives and to apply those virtues and ways of life and in the way we have dealings with others. It begins with simple acts of forgiveness and an expectation of compassion.
Compassion is a human emotion that is experienced by perceived pain and suffering in others. Etymologically, the word compassion means to suffer together with. Compassion often involves an active desire to alleviate another's suffering. Various cultures and spiritual traditions around the world have recognized the value of compassion within the individual as a key component to spiritual maturity.I did some homework even for you LOL...read below

The Egyptians and, later, the ancient Greek world produced many philosophers who valued the principle of compassion. Usually imploring people to either do no harm to others or to understand how others feel when harm is done to them, ancient Greek philosophers taught that compassion is one of the highest virtues in life.

Do YOU have any VALUE??

                                 VALUE WHO YOU ARE!


Hello Friends, My apology for not getting this blog issue up sooner. I have been super busy in the world of "Dennis" lol. This month has flew by just as the entire year seems to be doing. Today I would like to discuss something ALL of us need...SELF WORTH/VALUE....Yes that's right did you know you are worth something...YOU are priceless...no matter what your situation is. I often battle with this also...with my highly stressful life and health issues...sometimes I forget my own self-value. But NOT today my friends, lets think about who you are, including your dreams,we know all this will not be more important to someone else as YOU will be to you. Yes, you are the only one who will have a vested genuine interest in your life and in your dreams. Many times we want others to value us, we want them to consider us important to their lives and we want them to take an interest in our dreams. But, not everyone is going to be for you, so they won't care about you and your dreams. Therefore it is up to you to VALUE yourself, know who you are and ending the need for others to be for you always, to know you and to see you as important. Sometimes the only time someone will have a vested interest in you is when they are looking for their own gain. They are looking to use you or what you have to offer for their own purpose.
When you are not looking to use others and capitalize off their success you won't even recognize when others are doing it to you. Once you figure them out it may be too late. You may have invested a lot of time and emotion and such in them. This is why it is important to have a high value on yourself so that you have a deep strength to fall back on once you have figured out their intentions. Sadly, there are many individuals who USE people and VALUE things. They value their car, their job, their station in life, but yet they turn around and take people for granted. Because they are only in this life for themselves, they never see how their intentions and actions can affect those around them. They block themselves from having any feelings of empathy for others and they will leave a path of pain and destruction and such in their wake. And of course when they are unable to get anything more from you, when they are done with you, they won't think twice about moving on to the next person.
Encountering these individuals in your life can take a lot out of you emotionally. I call these types "emotional Vamps"  Even if your life may not have prepared you for those individuals, there is a way to counteract their fangs so to speak. Learn to VALUE yourself and don't wait on someone else to validate you. When you depend on others to validate you, you leave yourself open to their emotional state. If they are emotionally immature and you don't value yourself, it is easy for their neurosis to enter your mind and leave you feeling very insecure, hurt, and angry with yourself that you will beat up  yourself for giving them room to even be in your life. There are many spiritual folks, including myself, that will tell you that we attract a WIDE array of people good and bad. Although we are mirror images of each other that does not mean that a person's intent/actions should be acceptable in our lives. Many folks have emotional issues that originated in their childhood perhaps, that came as a result of  early caretakers. Then they were conditioned and programmed socially. Then they grow up to be Adults. There are many individuals who continue to be who they were programmed and conditioned to be in their childhood. They never took the time to take a closer look at their lives and at themselves to see where they need to grow. To make matters worse if they are still living in the same environment that they grew up in they may have never seen the need to change. It may never have crossed their minds. Everyone around them is the same way and the need to change and the pressure to conform will make it difficult for them to grow. They may not realize that for them to grow, they need to extricate themselves from the environment that is familiar. Many individuals are so afraid of walking away from the only people they have ever known that they decide to remain in that environment even if it is sucking the very life out of them. Remember, no one likes change and if they see you changing and growing they may feel threatened. Their way of life, their way of thinking is being challenged. You are forcing them to take a look at their life and at their unhappiness. They may have been living that way forever and they have become comfortable with what it is. Now here you come along talking about growing, expanding and moving up. Of course they are going to try and stop your growth. They are going to criticize you, they are going to try and cut you down. They are going to blame others who they may think is influencing you. Misery does love company. Becoming a leader, whether it's leading others or leading ourselves, we need to be strong enough to go against the crowd when/if needed. We need to be strong enough and believe in ourselves enough to stand alone. Not everyone is going to be for you, remember that. They may think that by you growing you are leaving them behind. That may be true, because if they are not growing you can't afford to let them slow or sway your growth. They may have been use to you being insecure, needy, clingy and unhappy and you may have needed them during that time. They may even think that is who you are, so your healing and growing threatens them because they no longer feel needed. BUT, you need to VALUE yourself and your growth even when others don't. Your emotional and mental health is very important. You are not going to be able to help everyone, and sometimes not even the ones you love. If they don't want the help or they may resent it coming from you, there is nothing you can do for them, except keep sending them love, prayers, and healing energies. Don't allow those that don't value you, to prevent you from reaching out and being there for those who do truly need and value what YOU have to offer this world. But make sure you are helping others because you want to help them and not because you are looking for them to value or validate you. Value and Love yourself first, strengthen your core self, it is then that you can be emotionally healthy and strong to be there to help others in need. I personally think many of us do not realize the importance of Loving ourselves and seeing the true high VALUE that each of us have. Take today to LOVE and VALUE yourself, for who YOU really are...love the good, bad, and the ugly...LOVE AND VALUE YOU! YOU are special and unique and valuable in YOUR own ways. Don't let this ignorant world bring you to the point of feeling worthless, because you are NOT by any means worthless...you are of great VALUE! Well my Friends I hope this blog today made some sense and perhaps helped someone out in this big world. Do you have any faith...YES you do!

 


Simple Definition of Faith: is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.


Hello Friends! I pray and hope ALL is well with each and everyone of you. Things in my world as of lately have been very hectic to say the least lol. So the Radio interview I did with The Anti-War Activist Cindy Sheehan went very good, probably one of the smoothest shows I have done thus far.
The following day on Sunday the 26th of May I attended the Monthly PEACE VIGIL courtesy of the wonderful folks of the OWL CREEK GAZETTE MAGAZINE. The Peace Vigil went great, lots of diverse, interesting people attended and of course I had to bring my lil teacup Rex along lol. Cindy and Her team attended the Vigil also. NONE of this would have been possible if it were not for Don and Jan Stover the Editors/Publishers of The Owl Creek Gazette Magazine, for it was them that not only provided a way for Cindy and her Tour de Peace to come here but they also connected myself with her and the Tour de peace team. So BIG THANKS AND HUGS TO DON AND JAN STOVER!
www.owlcreekgazette.com Moving on to the topic of this blog, as you probably already guessed it is about FAITH...above is a simple definition of what faith is...now Some of YOU may say you don't have faith...well here is a generic example of faith in action....Say every morning when you wake..you use the restroom and the toilet flushes properly....Well without realizing it YOU used faith...YOU had faith that the toilet would flush proper after use. Or without hesitation Most of us jump in our vehicles expecting them to start right? OK then That's another generic example of faith...YOU catching on now? I hope so. Now my point finally lol, I have let my faith dampen over time lately....until recently GOD gave me a big faith boost...even on horrible days where I can barely walk or function, I STILL keep faith that no matter what the physical eyes see MY faith kicks in  and reminds me NOTHING is forever while we are still here on earth that is. NO matter what your belief system is, FAITH is something WE all should have and actually use it and not merely say it. I personally have faith that the fibromyalgia and other health issues I live with will be healed/cured...and not years from now but no later than the end of this year even. I am going to attach some VERY faith boosting videos to this blog to help YOU...I know if you're reading this...it is not by accident but by divine appointment :-) So NO MATTER WHAT your beliefs are FAITH works...atleast for the GOOD AND POSITIVE...not to have faith for something negative that would be just flat out ignorant honestly...but either way YOU get my point...SO each video ON THIS blog is carefully picked by myself...watch each one and then recollect on what you just viewed/read and SEE how YOU feel and such.... Hi Friends, It has been a super long week ugh! Even though I don't really have any set days off of works and projects. Sunday's are the easiest day and my favorite day of the week..its laid back..usually lol. This week my cell has become a complete piece of bat guano to say the least. So after at least 7 years or more of constant issues with cell phones and plans and such. I am choosing to go complete NO contract and total prepaid. I have did my research YOU folks in a contract may get just one perk that I can think of by being trapped in the contract and that perk is that you get the phone you want at a very cheap price compared to the complete price. So if you want an Iphone5 save up and buy one prepaid or what ever kind of phone you want. By doing this switch 2moro, I will not only be in a trapped contract anymore but will save well over $100 a month. Not to mention have the SAME features and unlimited everything including data. Yes the phone I get won't be the same as the crap phone i have now lol. But I have researched and found one comparable to the Samsung Galax S2,which is the phone that went nuts on me not to mention SPRINT's service in my area is horrible. The New prepaid carrier I am chosing uses At&t and Verizon towers to bounce from..to me this is good lol. I will for sure give YOU a review on the new phone venture lol. Now moving on to the reason I am blogging this late, basically already early today lol. Anywhooo, I want to speak about empathy and the total LACK of empathy that seems to spreading to many and across the world for quite sometime now....As an anonymous English author wrote: "To empathize is to see with the eyes of another, to hear with the ears of another, and to feel with the heart of another." You may wonder why is empathy important?In my opinion the real world bottom line, is that the lack of empathy leads to poor communication and a failing to understand others. Lack of empathy leads to all sorts of problems in our world. I mean seriously LOOK around our world is literally falling apart.....Nations going to war nonstop, innocent people are killed, couples divorce, increase in all forms of crime and violence and so much more horrible things occuring as you read - ALL for a lack of empathy and understanding. It is natural to become angry when frustrated or irritated with people who do or say things at variance our worldview, that may be annoying, a parasite etc. To manage anger, it often helps to see our anger as a combination of their behavior and our actual lack of empathy. While we cannot control other's thoughts, feelings or behaviors, we most certainly can increase our empathy skills. To try and  control our anger with increased empathy, three basic skills are required: listening, self-awareness and acceptance. Empathic listening is a type of listening that goes further than ordinary listening. This type of listening uses another person's point of view to see the world as others see it. It provides a higher level of understanding of how others feel. With what I call "Intuitive Empathic" to me goes deeper than this sort of emapthy...that will be future blog lol. Self-awareness occurs as we better understand our own thoughts and feelings. I believe we are then better able to understand the thoughts and feelings of someone else. The more open we are to our own feelings, the more skilled we become at reading someone else's feelings, and generally the less angry we may feel toward them. Acceptance, on the other hand, is the ability to see that others have a right to their "ridiculous" feelings. We must allow people to have feelings without telling them how they should feel. We cannot stop others from having feelings. Someone with normal emapthy would understand this. When we accept others as they are, it simply means that we understand that they are doing the best they can at the time. Remember, if they could do any better, they probably would. Acceptance of others' feelings is not easy when people act differently than we do. We all have difficulty with those who are different, even if a tiny bit. By tapping into the  skill of empathy, we will be better able to understand ourselves and others. Here are are just a few lil  simple rules I i personally use in addition to other things within myself to be more empathetic.
*Pay attention to the feelings that others express. Watch for both verbal and nonverbal clues as well as body laugnage . Try to understand the message behind the words and actions.
*Place the feelings of other's ahead of your own. Put aside your own needs and ideas long enough to listen to another's point of view.
*Communicate your understanding. Respond or give answers to the messages you receive to show you understand them in a major way if not fully.
* Actually LISTEN not merely just hear.... Let the speaker finish what they are saying before you talk.
*Ask the person to elaborate more or ask for more information. If you still don't understand, ask more questions until you fully understand.
Well I hope Friends this little thought of mine may have interested or hopefully helped someone out there in this hectic world find peace or what they may have been needing.
