From the DESK 12-3-2014

Greetings Friends! Hope all is well with you ALL, I have been super busy here lately, with the holidays, family events, private events, the radio show, and my personal life...phew trust me it's a lot lol, speaking of being busy...very very soon I plan a small getaway for a few days. I am thinking of a nice cozy cottage in the Forest that I know of and have retreated there several times before. The place this time of year is very tranquil and peaceful but most importantly is the silence. All you hear is pure nature...the wide array of birds singing and chirping throughout the morning and day, the water as the small waves crash against the clifts. It is a lake not the ocean lol just so you know...but a big lake so good enough I suppose until I can make a trip back to the gulf or pacific....anyway Yes I plan on getting away soon tor recharge myself and just take a well needed BREAK! So this new getting back on spreaker.com thing with the radio show has become a challenge and I am bound and determined to make it work and be picked up by iheartradio...as of so far we  have completed about 75% of what they asked of us so we are on our way and I have faith we will be picked up by them. Moving on...Recently I got my F.o,i,d, card( fire owners identification card) to own a gun. So I have been gun shopping and found what I thought was perfect...not! I finally was able to test it yesterday at a local shooting range, which by the way was my first time EVER at a shooting range lol...anyway I got my gear on safety glasses and ear protecting muffs, I loaded the little .22 Magnum handgun(chrome in color with a rosewood handle, was pretty) So I finally shot it about 8 times before the bottom chamber(had two chambers, fired 2 at once) didn't shoot the ammo out and it kept doing it that...so my Intuition strongly kicked on and I instantly stopped using it, so then with the owner of the range being a world class marksmen and a State Trooper, I told and showed him the issue. He examined the gun and told me it was very unsafe and He was suprised the ammo didn't blow up inside the barrel while I was holding it! Needless to say I returned it yesterday afterwards and got a .32 Auto instead. I like the way the gun looks but thinking I am going to try to go with a 9mm pistol instead for many reasons. So today when I went to the range to shoot the .32 (holds 6 rds) I shot for awhile and it was actually a lot of fun and I have NEVER been a gun person so to speak. But I messed up by after shooting a round, while I was reloading the mag, i took my ear muffs off and when I went to shoot again forgot to put them back on until the first shot and my left ear started to ring. So now ever since my ear has been feeling super odd like I am hearing through a funnel or something. Hopefully it will be gone by 2moro :-) Moving on to the blog i prepared late last night. I wrote on this topic for many reasons, I am an observer, a people watcher by nature and examine everything about them without even realizing it lol. One thing I have noticed over the past few years is not only many very KNOWLEDGEABLE young people being underestimated due to their age. I think that is just flat out rude and wrong, I have dealt with this many times and still do every once in a while and it's not only frustrating but a bit hurtful..so if you are over the age of 40 and reading this blog...give us/the young people with knowledge and gifts, a chance...YOU might acutally learn from them or vice versa :-) Moving on...  I have noticed people in our society love things and use people. People are used to getting places in life and some in many easy ways , climbing ladders, and selling and buying stuff, needless stuff or too much. Things,People, Celebs, even the kids, are what most people fantasize about and sought after in the same greedy ways.  Most of us Westerners live with more, but have much in the materialistic sense/realm and increasingly less in the spiritual and emotional sense/realm. We may have flashy new cars, nice homes, a boat, the latest tablets or PCs, and lots of technological gadgets and other stuff. More than we'd ever use half the time in our lives. Or if we do use them all, there's less time left for doing 'internal' work with ourselves or relating ,helping, and communicating peacefully with people which is way more important. Not only do we love things but we tend to use people. Our closest relationships are typically there for us, and for our disposal, which isn't a good idea unless it is toxic and unfixable for you. We all love our spouses, kids, and families but how often do we sell them out to/for our own needs? Has being kind of selfish been a starter for a arguement? Ask yourself that and think about it and chances are we all have done it at one point. Even those at work, colleagues and acquaintances, where they may try to mentally conceive where they might manipulate a discussion, meeting or relationship to serve their own purposes -- for instance, to be heard, promoted, etc. The final straw is where the selfish behavior of using people reaches the lowest standard, where many  people are consistantly abused wholesale for making innocent mistakes, being too nice or generou, and yet we try and gain a fractional advantage by swapping lanes incessantly.Sick...Do I sound harsh? Perhaps. There is no doubt there are many people who have the balance the other way, the right way, around. That is to put people first and utilize things as required. "Love people, use things" could be the motto.
What should we do to reinforce the motto?
Love People:
- Listen to people and be patient with them.
- Be prepared to lose the odd battle for the greater benefit of the team (or family).
- Give more than you receive.
- Say sorry often when you make mistakes and mean it.
- Give people the best resource you can give them; your time and Love. Now that's a good investment!
- When you're out in the world, respect and care about  fellow human beings, especially people you don't know.
Use Things:
- Resist the love of things. Stop materialism in its NOW.
- Reject "retail therapy" as a poor excuse it is.
- Be thankful for the things you've accumulated but don't worship them.
- Don't waste the resources available to you; respect them appropriately and appreciate what you DO have.
- Try sharing your things with other people, and even give them away if they serve you no valid purpose anymore.
No one would admit to not loving their families or friends as much as their stuff, materialism, ego, etc,, but this is a firm challenge for each one of us to get the balance more into the "love people, use things" life pattern. If we do this we can also tap into the reservoir of our own psyche to not only become a better person, but become more balanced and more spiritual at the same time. It just irritates me thinking about people like this.

CAN YOU DEFINE APPRECIATION? SEPT. 10TH 2013

                                                        APPRECIATE

Hello Friends, It's bright and early this sept. morning...hot coffee on, sun peeking out and a nice morning breeze coming through the windows..it's the little things and moments that I appreciate. Most mornings that I wake up in pain, I STILL appreciate waking up alive with breathe in my lungs. Nowadays it seems people in general do not appreciate life or even others for that matter. Do something nice for someone and at least half the time the person looks at you like your crazy. Being Nice and appreciating others doesn't seem to be a thing of today and that's really bothersome. So my blog topic today is about APPRECIATION
Maybe you're already in a position where you are absolutely satisfied with your life. That is a wonderful position to be in. Maybe you're not satisfied & you feel that life has cheated you or that maybe even looked over you. That's okay for now but what you may not realize is that before life can deal you a better hand you must first appreciate what you already have.
Here is what I mean:
o Be thankful that you have a roof over your head.
o If you have a job - be thankful that you are currently employed.
o If you have a business - be thankful that you are your own boss.
o If you have been blessed with children - be thankful for that you were able to have them.
o Be thankful for what the food that you get to eat every day.
o If you're in a relationship appreciate your partner's good qualities & be thankful for that.
o Be thankful just for being alive.
Be Thankful for others that do NICE things for you
It doesn't matter how bad you think life is right now because there are many people who would gladly step into your shoes at any given time. No matter how little you think you have there is always someone somewhere who has a lot less and a lot worse. If you disagree with me no big deal, but why not try this appreciation thing out for 3 days Myself is trying the same little 3 day test so to speak. For the next I challenge YOU for 3 days, appreciate all that you have. Look around where ever you might be & acknowledge your position in life.Look at all the beauty that nature provides you, the wind, the sun, the moon, the stars at night and so much more... Then when ever you look at what you have say thank God for the abundant blessings that I do have. If you can keep this kind of mindset going for the next 3 days you will most likely start to see some kind of sign or change of better things to come. If you have already been appreciating everything in your life for some time, give yourself a hug. You don't have to believe a word I say but don't knock it until you try it.... what if it works? Well my friends moving on...one thing out of a million that motivated me to write this blog was a recent fundraiser benefit for MS/Multiple Sclerosis. I hosted/ Emceed the event and realized even more that I too personally need to appreciate LIFE in general more. We only have one chance, one life, APPRECIATE WHAT YOU GOT. Thank you for stopping by friends, feel free to follow, comment, share, etc.                                                       Truly, Dennis Kelly

Do YOU have any VALUE??

                                 VALUE WHO YOU ARE!

Hello Friends, My apology for not getting this blog issue up sooner. I have been super busy in the world of "Dennis" lol. This month has flew by just as the entire year seems to be doing. Today I would like to discuss something ALL of us need...SELF WORTH/VALUE....Yes that's right did you know you are worth something...YOU are priceless...no matter what your situation is. I often battle with this also...with my highly stressful life and health issues...sometimes I forget my own self-value. But NOT today my friends, lets think about who you are, including your dreams,we know all this will not be more important to someone else as YOU will be to you. Yes, you are the only one who will have a vested genuine interest in your life and in your dreams. Many times we want others to value us, we want them to consider us important to their lives and we want them to take an interest in our dreams. But, not everyone is going to be for you, so they won't care about you and your dreams. Therefore it is up to you to VALUE yourself, know who you are and ending the need for others to be for you always, to know you and to see you as important. Sometimes the only time someone will have a vested interest in you is when they are looking for their own gain. They are looking to use you or what you have to offer for their own purpose.
When you are not looking to use others and capitalize off their success you won't even recognize when others are doing it to you. Once you figure them out it may be too late. You may have invested a lot of time and emotion and such in them. This is why it is important to have a high value on yourself so that you have a deep strength to fall back on once you have figured out their intentions. Sadly, there are many individuals who USE people and VALUE things. They value their car, their job, their station in life, but yet they turn around and take people for granted. Because they are only in this life for themselves, they never see how their intentions and actions can affect those around them. They block themselves from having any feelings of empathy for others and they will leave a path of pain and destruction and such in their wake. And of course when they are unable to get anything more from you, when they are done with you, they won't think twice about moving on to the next person.
Encountering these individuals in your life can take a lot out of you emotionally. I call these types "emotional Vamps"  Even if your life may not have prepared you for those individuals, there is a way to counteract their fangs so to speak. Learn to VALUE yourself and don't wait on someone else to validate you. When you depend on others to validate you, you leave yourself open to their emotional state. If they are emotionally immature and you don't value yourself, it is easy for their neurosis to enter your mind and leave you feeling very insecure, hurt, and angry with yourself that you will beat up  yourself for giving them room to even be in your life. There are many spiritual folks, including myself, that will tell you that we attract a WIDE array of people good and bad. Although we are mirror images of each other that does not mean that a person's intent/actions should be acceptable in our lives. Many folks have emotional issues that originated in their childhood perhaps, that came as a result of  early caretakers. Then they were conditioned and programmed socially. Then they grow up to be Adults. There are many individuals who continue to be who they were programmed and conditioned to be in their childhood. They never took the time to take a closer look at their lives and at themselves to see where they need to grow. To make matters worse if they are still living in the same environment that they grew up in they may have never seen the need to change. It may never have crossed their minds. Everyone around them is the same way and the need to change and the pressure to conform will make it difficult for them to grow. They may not realize that for them to grow, they need to extricate themselves from the environment that is familiar. Many individuals are so afraid of walking away from the only people they have ever known that they decide to remain in that environment even if it is sucking the very life out of them. Remember, no one likes change and if they see you changing and growing they may feel threatened. Their way of life, their way of thinking is being challenged. You are forcing them to take a look at their life and at their unhappiness. They may have been living that way forever and they have become comfortable with what it is. Now here you come along talking about growing, expanding and moving up. Of course they are going to try and stop your growth. They are going to criticize you, they are going to try and cut you down. They are going to blame others who they may think is influencing you. Misery does love company. Becoming a leader, whether it's leading others or leading ourselves, we need to be strong enough to go against the crowd when/if needed. We need to be strong enough and believe in ourselves enough to stand alone. Not everyone is going to be for you, remember that. They may think that by you growing you are leaving them behind. That may be true, because if they are not growing you can't afford to let them slow or sway your growth. They may have been use to you being insecure, needy, clingy and unhappy and you may have needed them during that time. They may even think that is who you are, so your healing and growing threatens them because they no longer feel needed. BUT, you need to VALUE yourself and your growth even when others don't. Your emotional and mental health is very important. You are not going to be able to help everyone, and sometimes not even the ones you love. If they don't want the help or they may resent it coming from you, there is nothing you can do for them, except keep sending them love, prayers, and healing energies. Don't allow those that don't value you, to prevent you from reaching out and being there for those who do truly need and value what YOU have to offer this world. But make sure you are helping others because you want to help them and not because you are looking for them to value or validate you. Value and Love yourself first, strengthen your core self, it is then that you can be emotionally healthy and strong to be there to help others in need. I personally think many of us do not realize the importance of Loving ourselves and seeing the true high VALUE that each of us have. Take today to LOVE and VALUE yourself, for who YOU really are...love the good, bad, and the ugly...LOVE AND VALUE YOU! YOU are special and unique and valuable in YOUR own ways. Don't let this ignorant world bring you to the point of feeling worthless, because you are NOT by any means worthless...you are of great VALUE! Well my Friends I hope this blog today made some sense and perhaps helped someone out in this big world. I THANK YOU for stopping by and visiting my blog spot..my little corner here on the worldwide web. Please FEEL FREE to comment, follow, share, or just enjoy. I always Love YOUR feedback and comments. STRESS ANYONE?? :-)

                     THE DENNIS KELLY CENTER

Hello Friends! World wide..I say world wide because my insights show what nations my readers are reading from. I must say I am deeply thankful for all the nations that take the time to read my personal blogs. Special thanks just to name a few are the U.S., Russia, Germany, Kenya, Uganda, Slovakia, France, and quite a bit more. For those I have not named I still appreciate YOU ALL equally. So Lately in the Life of ME, On this past tuesday about 4 days ago I under went another Surgery that had to do with the urology system. I am now at home recovering. The surgery was a bit tough this time around but nevertheless GOD willing I made it through. Now...the recovery process is the hardest to me. But I am recovering very well and I am thankful for that. The more rest and time I take for myself, the faster I notice I heal. Also reducing STRESS which is actually the TOPIC of this blog. I wanted to blog about STRESS because every human can relate to it one way or another. AS most of you know it's well known stress is a killer and can cause sooo much unneeded crap. Have you ever been completely stressed about something? I mean, worried beyond repair about a situation or a decision you have to make. I've been there before many times and, let me tell you, it is not a pretty thing. I still deal with daily high levels of stress due to personal life, work life, family, society, and all kinds of triggers. Sometimes occasionally I feel stress is actually killing me. But I have learned several ways to help calm, and collect during overwhelming stressful moments. Deep breathing helps to calm, but personally I have found YOGA, talking to loved ones and friends. Or just sometimes taking a walk in the forest...nature is provides great therapy. I won't go into ALL my Stressors in this blog because now is not the time but perhaps someday I will spill it lol. We all know Stress has a sneaky way of taking over your thoughts and your body and Your LIFE for that matter. Just to give you a brief overview of what I have learned and studied about stress is  the physiological changes you experience when you are stressed out, you can have such physical reactions as elevated heart rate, low energy, headaches, upset stomach, rapid heart beat, insomnia, depression,  and a whole slew of other nasty little problems. But, I'm sure you already know that. Given the fact that 85% of all adult Americans are walking around in a stressed-out state, we are very familiar with the effects of stress, whether we realize it or not want to admit it. So what are we to do about it? What are our options? Some things, like environmental factors are beyond our control. And if these things are part of your triggers for stress, you can do very little about them. But then there are other things that we can do something about, such as finances, children, work, etc. You just have to know how to separate the two categories and act accordingly. If things fall into the "out of my control" category, then you take a deep breath, and plan as best you can and then you let it go. If you truly can't do anything about it, then there is absolutely no reason for you to place your body in a stressful situation. A lot of our stressors fall into this category and yet we still want to continue to worry about them. This is a mistake on our part because helplessness combined with stress leaves you feeling utterly hopeless. Trust me I would be the FIRST to know lol...If your stressors fall into the other category, meaning you can do something about them, then it is always better to attack the problem head on I personally feel. You feel empowered the more you attack the issue(s) (i do anyway) versus shrinking back from it and hiding or masking it with an addicition of sorts. Have you noticed how much more confident and better you feel when you finally do that THING you've been putting off forever because it stressed you out? This same feeling can happen with most, if not all of our stressors as long as you don't give rise to the procrastination issue. Procrastination and apathy has caused more people to be stressed out than any other action from what I have seen and went through. I have seen evidence of this in my own life countless times. I think trying our BEST to be and think positive about EVERY situation is a key also even though it is easier said than done, it is possible. I personally think if we ALL  Decide once and for all to stop procrastinating and to get things done. Even if you/we don't have it all figured out at the moment at hand, begin to act on what you do know and what you do know how to do. Because when you begin to attack that portion of the project or decision, we may eventually get the ANSWERS  that will begin to develop along the way and change our lives for the better. Sometimes the best way to get over stress is to just act. I know that Life will always have stressors...BUT it does NOT mean WE should or have to live in a total state of stress or even become so overwhelmed with it to the point of actual harm to our lives. If you find that dealing with your stress is getting the best of you and you want some additional help in that area, I'd recommend the use of essential oils, herbs, Vitamins and EVERYTHING natural. They are non-habit forming, non-addictive, and they can be used in conjunction with any other medical treatments you may be having. My recommendation is to get your stuff from www.terramaterbotanicals.com They have the best and accomidate the customers needs the best they can. Well my Friends I hope that this little tid bid or ramble lol...helped some. I hate knowing or seeing ANYONE suffer from anything especially so much stress. Thank YOU for stopping by my blog and FEEL FREE TO SHARE, COMMENT BECAUSE I LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU....YOU CAN ALSO BECOME A FOLLOWER, IT ONLY TAKES ABOUT 2 MINUTES TO SIGN UP AND THATS IT SO IF YOU HAVE THE TIME BECOME A FOLLOWER OF MINE. Some side notes below Is a photo of Donna Douglas and I just days before surgery at a Public event I broadcasted from. She is best known for her role as Elly Mae Clampett from the Hit sitcom The Beverly Hillbillies. Donna Douglas was very sweet and gracious, she seemed to be a very genuine woman. The Event was The Graffiti Car Show...It was hot and lots of people but I enjoyed it. It is the little things in life that make up the BIG things. I also had a chance to Record a few local musicians playing their original song titled "Elly Mae" and they actually got a chance to sing it to her. I recorded it at the Owl Creek Gazette Office on south second st. in downtown Greenville,Il  If you would like to catch that episode where I broadcasted from the event you can catch it on our friend radio show "Creekside w/Don&Jan" It airs every Sunday evening at 7:00p.m. central time on podomatic. You can go to their website www.owlcreekgazette.com and listen to the episode or download. The Great folks from the Creekside show was kind enough to play parts of the broadcast on their show this on episode 20. So the broadcast aired Saturday Night on my radio show and then again on sunday night's episode on "Creekside w/Don&Jan". Well my friends until next time feel free to comment like I said before or if you want to comment private feel free to shoot me an email at: mr.denniskelly@gmail.com
