Are You happy?

Hello Friends, before I get to the blog I prepared for you, I have some stuff to vent about lol. So bare with me of course it is my blog, but I enjoy YOU stopping by too :-) Well Lately has been so busy with Doctor appointments, Meetings, Prior engagments/events, The radio show and LIFE lol. Now I don't like to talk about my health issues in public but right now I need ALL of YOU prayer warriors to send prayers my way please. :-) 2moro I will be getting yet another urology surgery, This is a must I can not get out of the surgery...trust me I would. Without going into great detail on the actual surgery/my business, the surgeons will be going into my bladder and the kidney areas to remove any and all scar tissue. This condition is rare and not much is known about it, it did not begin until I was around 26 I think..could be off a bit on the age, but nevertheless I had got smaller similar surgeries after but only like 2 in a four year period. But the past 3 years at least the tissue grows back at such a rapid rate that I  now must recieve surgery every 6 weeks 8 if Im lucky. The doctors tell me they are baffled at the speed of it as much as I am. Yes I have been to many doctors. Moving on and btw if you have a question regarding what I just told YOU, email don't ask on a public social network Thank you....A few days ago was the local trunk and treat here downtown, and then the following evening I went with family to take my little cousins and nephew to Hazlet state park, a really beautiful Camping and Nature Reserve. The place had treats everywhere for the kids and was decorated beyond belief! Hats off to all the good people that put the event together. On a side note, the radio show is finally starting to spark my interest again thankfully. I have been trying to add some interesting change slowly to the show such as having a monthly Guest Co-host Ms. Roxanne Bare. She is a local lady that owns and operates an awesome shop Terra Matter Botanicals and Market, heres the site if you would like to shop www.terramatermarket.com Anywhoo Roxanne has co-hosted once so far and the radio/hosting dynamics during the show was great and fun, I really enjoyed having her on and I was suprised a bit by her too because she handled herself very well on-air especially with the crazy guest we had on lol. So yes I'm optimistic about the show a lot more than I had been. We also have a new short segment "Words of Dawn" where a Local woman comes and shares some of her homegrown poetry with us. Also We have a Guest DJ monthly Named Konner :-) Konner is a very special 9 or 10 year old <not sure if hes 10 yet lol> You see Konner suffers from a Horrible Horrible Health Issue(s) I wont go into detail but you can find more info on Facebook. He does a great Job being a DJ and I pray for him to grow up and have a great life in radio, he seems to like it a lot :-) Ok Now I will shut UP! LOL..below is a blog I put together, it came to me at about 3a.m. Last night so I figured It is for someone out there or perhaps myself lol. Enjoy my friends!

                                  "Are You Happy?"
Most, not all but most people spend their lives in a cycle/ routine. They wake up, have breakfast, go to work, go home, have dinner, pay bills, Family matters, sleep, etc. For others, they spend their days at home doing chores or watch the kids etc. and do same the next day and so on  and so on... It's not surprising that people feel bored and unhappy about their lives and experience way too much stress  than they should more often than not, I know I've been there plenty of times personally. Although there are others that are comfortable with the life they have and don't have any plans or goals of making any POSITIVE changes in life or in the life of others..We all want to live a happy life, one secret most do not realize is to simply enjoy life without having to make excuses that you don't have enough time, money, materialistic things, because you can start enjoying your life now with what you already have, because remember someone out in this world has NOTHING..... Add excitement to your life and it doesn't always mean that you need to go out, shop or even go for a vacation. You can still have fun while doing your daily routine or use your personal time to do exciting things. GET CREATIVE AND START THINKING POSITIVE NO MATTER WHAT!  Here are simple ways that I try sometimes, YOU can GIVE THEM A TRY yourself and SEE the difference my friends!
Explore - Have you been taking the same route when you drive to work or home? Why not take a different route next time so you'll get to see a different scenery.
Be more adventurous - Doing something new or different once in awhile. Try eating an exotic food or engage yourself in sports that you haven't tried before. Try doing something creative, painting, drawing, creating, etc.
Challenge yourself - It doesn't matter what it is, just do something that you normally don't do and then push yourself to the limit. It's exciting if you have accomplished something you never thought you could and boost your self-confidence and add to your self-esteem. I know this from past events in my personal life.
Make new friends/networks - In meeting new people, you may also discover new things about many interesting people, I certainly have met plenty of people especially certain ones that have had and still do have positive impacts on my life..
Plan an adventure - Take your kids or kids in your family  to a park,  hiking, boating, to the beach or go camping. There's nothing more exciting than spending time with your family kids and have an adventure together. It's priceless to watch them learn what you teach them and watch them grom, They are a true Blessing!
Do volunteer work - Helping other people are both exciting and rewarding. You will truly find joy if you do something good for others. Nursing homes are a perfect place to start these poor lonely people need love and attention just like YOU do.
Get a hobby - do something you love the most and follow your passion because this will make you centered in times of irritation, works for me anyway :-)
Laugh more - Watch a funny movie, show, or read a funny book. You can even watch cartoons with your kids or go to a comedy club. Laughter is fun, it's good for your Soul, and it's free.
Live in the now - Forget the past and the future is not here yet. Live your life today and make the most out of right now.
. Stop worrying - Don't waste your energy and time thinking about things that are not worth thinking about or things you can't change right now. Every time your mind is stuck at worrying, you are wasting a good opportunity to enjoy your day and Life. Think positive and don't let your negative thoughts get the better of you. What do you actually think you are gaining something from being a worry bug? NO. Trust me I should know this is something I battle with sometimes also.
It is our days that define our life and no matter what our choices are, you have to remember that you only have one life to live so don't waste it by depriving yourself of the simple, materialistic, pleasures in this life. No amount of money will help you enjoy life to the fullest, no relationship will complete you to the fullest, these temporary material things will make you a false happiness if you convince yourself that your life will be better if you have them. But in the long run do YOU honestly think it's worth it? Make the choice to be happy now and enjoy life to the fullest.
Friends, thank you yet again for stopping by my blog. I appreciate each and everyone of you around the world. Feel free to share, comment. follow, etc. Bless you all! Truly Dennis

From the Desk of Dennis September the 3rd 2013

Hello friends, It is early in the morning here...a bit chilly actually but not too bad. I apologize for not blogging as of lately. So much occurs from week to week its too much to write lol. So as of lately personally I have been dealing with some major muscle pain and I think I may have a muscle pressing on nerves and sending pain everywhere...I could be wrong i am not a doctor by any means lol. My massage therapist has really helped a lot with the muscle pains and such. So slowly but surely I think this horrible muscle issue is letting up a bit each day. Thank GOD! When you have constant nonstop pain daily like this it does a number on you in many ways. Anytime I deal with constant nonstop chronic pain it always makes me ponder everything in my life and so much more. The blog I prepared below is one I wrote last night about an issue I have been thinking about for quite sometime...just didn't know how to put it into words exactly. Basically the Blog topic today is about friends and what is a true friend etc. I have blogged on similar topics before but this one would not leave my mind until I wrote it lol. Before I get into the blog, I want to just touch base on some things that have been on my mind...like Syria and the fate of it's people. We the United States Have NO right to intervene with EVERY nations Buisness. WE DO NOT rule the world like the current establishment wants to. Our President goes on national television to spread WAR propaganda of why we should invade Syria.."because their government is killing civilians with chemicals" WELL MR. OBAMA, What the chemicals that YOU allow MONSANTO to use to SOFT kill The American people with GMO foods, Vaccines, Chemicals being sprayed in the air and so much more!?? WAKE UP fellow Americans and see we are living in perilous times under a dictatorship regime. WAR is NEVER the ANSWER!! Russia seems to have backing for the small nation of Syria, the U.S. Government seems to have an issue with this. I personally think Its all a sick GAME! The Middle eastern people should be allowed to be free from our forces invading them like we do every nation they see as a "threat" Think about what WE did to Iraq....killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people including children and our very own troops, over FALSE Propaganda! OIL OIL OIL! THAT IS A BIG PART OF WHY WE HAVE OUR NOSE IN THE MIDDLE EAST. THIS MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH! I love America but I do NOT think our government gives a rats A$$ about us the citizens that slave to keep the country going, THIS nation is NOT the same NATION I grew up in...we are NO longer the land of the free, but the land of tyranny and police state. While most are watching their favorite reality shows and worrying about the latest tabloids, others in the middle east and some other nations such as Syria, have to worry if today will be their last. I try to stay out of politics the best I can, but when I see our American government/military going into ALL these different nations causing nothing but destruction and damage and then call the loss of INNOCENT people "collateral damage" it makes me SICK! Think about that...IS THIS REALLY SOMETHING YOU SUPPORT? This is all I will say about this issue, I will save the rest for a future blog. Pray for the middle east and Russia. NOW onto my topic of this blog...sorry for the rant lol...

                                             " FRIEND OR FRIENDLY PERSON"

A Lot of the times many friends/people..... when you need them the most is the moment they choose to walk out of your life or distance  from you. Surely this happens to everyone and surely when it happens to you, it seems like it only happens to you. But I assure YOU that it happens to the best of us.  Maybe people do this because it hurts them too much to watch you hurt. Maybe people do this because they never really cared that much to begin with. Maybe YOU are no longer of use to them. Whatever the reason may be, it happens to everyone and there is a bit of  comfort in knowing that many folks deal with people like this.
An anonymous quote about friendship which speaks volumes is "True friendship isn't about being there when it's convenient, it's about being there when it's not." Most people would say that when they needed a friend, they had someone there for them. The truth is people are only here for themselves. It is human nature for a person to think of themselves first. So ask yourself what is your friend gaining by being there for you? It is important to determine people's motivations for wanting to be there for you or in your life, when you need them the most. Likewise it is important to understand why they chose to not be there for you when you thought that they should have been. Everyone must realize that they are their own best friend and decisions must be made accordingly. When friends are going through a rough spot and you are so close to them that it hurts you to watch them hurt, this is when it is time to decide whether supporting them through their hard time is worth the investment for yourself and is your support out of true friendship or out of feeling obligated...? More people need to realize that interactions with other people are less about them and more about you. It has been said your friends are a reflection of who you are. Remember the old saying "Birds of a feather flock together."  The best personal example I have is when I first became sick and going through so much pain, stress, and multiple surgeries at a hospital. When I needed my friends to be there for me, many chose not to be. I realized that all of my friends but one were fair-weather friends. Going through what I was experiencing and at the same time realizing that my friends were fakes was and still is hurtful and devastating. So NOW I  vowed to not put any more effort into making friends again; I am tired of being hurt and waiting for the bottom to fall out on me and casting my pearls to the swine...so I chose not to put myself there again. I thought to myself, if this is what friends are, I do not want to put forth the effort. So when your friends choose to walk away from you, talk behind your back, show superficial support, or use you for their personal gains......JUST  know that this has happens to everyone. The choice is yours to put yourself back out there on the friend market or to stay on your own. I personally have narrowed my true friends to just a small handful of people and that's it. I do however still have MANY friendly associates so to speak but NOT ALL are genuine in nature. Moving on......I know this blog may not make sense to some of you, but it makes PERFECT sense to me. Well Friends wherever you are I hope and pray you ALL are doing well and got at least a little insight from this blog today. HAVE A GREAT WEEK! As always feel free to comment, share, follow, or simply enjoy the read. Be safe and be                                                                                                                                                                      Be Blessed! From the world of DENNIS...

Hi Friends all over the world! It has been quite a busy HOT week in my world....Recently I took a 3 day break from society and went into nature...yes it was very hot and humid and physically miserable lol...BUT I did a lot of meditating, prayer, thinking, and just reflected on my life and just LIFE in general. I have realized much that I need to change personally and things that EVERYONE in the world needs to change or begin, which is LOVING others as we love ourselves. But YOU must first LOVE yourself before you can even attempt to love others. Theres so much HELL & Suffering going on in this world of today....LOVE is the only thing I personally think will put an end to the senseless wars, the civil unrest across the globe and everything else evil and negative happening as YOU read this. It hurts my heart to know of others suffering in ANY way. I can NOT fathom how anyone could NOT love others in an unconditional manner...maybe I am just naive about life....either way LOVE and PEACE go together like food and water lol. There is a little word called Altruism....SOMETHING ALL OF US should be..what is this word you may ask...well here it is...from my perspective anyway...Altruism:  One definition of altruism is "loving others as oneself". French philosopher Auguste Comte coined the word altruisme in 1851, and two years later it entered the English language as altruism.
In America and  in most societies, we acknowledge the importance of altruism, but in a limited way. We are most often altruistic/loving  within the family. This model, however, limits each person's altruism to a small number of people so that we have groups of "altruists" whose loving is limited and self-regarding. We love our family members as ourselves, so that we are in good relationships with them, we get what we need (emotionally and materially) and we are loved and cared for.
Outside of the family unit, most folks have the mindset that when we help others, we put ourselves at a disadvantage. This "I/me/mine" mentality fuels consumerism, wars, unrest, negativity, depression. (both economical and psychological)and much more negative junk that none of us NEED! . We need to move from a paradigm of "if you win, then I lose" to a paradigm of "When you win, I win" and to try our best to always BE loving and positive towards others even if it is hard for you...all things are possible with love.
When we love others as we do ourselves,  then we can  let go of the desire to have power over others, we let go of hatred. We certainly have not lost this desire for power - war, ecological destruction, financial greed, and tyranny, threaten us all. The good news in all of this is the possibility of establishing a global consciousness of altruism/LOVE OF OTHERS, a consciousness of love for all beings, a realization that to love life, we need to reach out to others.
There are many benefits to be gained by being altruistic/All Loving
Altruism:
  • creates positive relationships with others
  • is the basis for self-esteem boost
  • lessens the desire for material objects, money and power (hatred)
  • brings us a sense of joy, and love for our own lives.
In the words of Martin Luther King, Jr, "There is a power in love that our world has not discovered yet. Jesus discovered it centuries ago. Mahatma Gandhi of India discovered it a few years ago, but most men and most women never discover it. For they believe in hitting for hitting; they believe in an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth; they believe in hating for hating; but Jesus comes to us and says, "This isn't the way."
The Buddha, as stated in the Dhammapada, said "... hatred does not cease by hatred at any time: hatred ceases by love, this is an old rule."
So, how can we change the individualistic global consciousness to an altruistic/unconditional loving consciousness? How do we move from depression, the "I/me/mine" mentality, greed and the "If you win then I lose" paradigm? We begin, as individuals with awareness and love  of ourselves falling into these states and then we mindfully change our thinking and our actions. We become kinder, more compassionate, more generous with others and less self-involved. It works - the next time you are feeling depressed or less than self-confident, or just feeling down,...go  do something Loving and positive  for someone else - you will see how it changes your life - you will love your life by reaching out to others. I know this is ALL easier said than done...but how do you know if this works unless you try it wholeheartedly?  I wanted to touch base on this topic friends not only to shed some light, but also because of the state our world is in right now....It saddens me that I SEE this beautiful planet full of beautiful souls....dwindling away into darkness. I know this blog will not make sense to some of you but to the ones that understand where I am coming from...I hope YOU apply this to YOU and YOUR LIFE. Moving On to a completely different RANDOM topic lol.....I think random should have been my middle name lol. This week like I previously mentioned has been eye/mind/heart opening on so much...yes I admit physically I was miserable due to the heat and health junk I deal with daily....BUT I am thankful for the time I got to spend with myself. Monday July 8th was my Dad's Death anniversary....It was a tough day on my heart but nevertheless, I have to keep on truckin so to speak. My dad has been gone for many years now but It always feels like it was just yesterday to me personally. I often catch myself doing the "what if" like what if he was still alive and would he be proud of me and much more that I am not going into right now...I try to get rid of the "what ifs" because its pointless and holds me down from being positive and productive. I know I am being random again...but that's ME :-) SOMETHING GREAT that I am super excited about is the opening of a NEW local shop named " Terra Mater Botanicals&Market" IT is such a comfy and unique place to shop and visit. The Owner is also my Reiki Master, a very sweet, genuine, and wise woman that I thank God for crossing our paths. I am supposed to be taking my second degree in Reiki this month godwilling....Reiki is something that has changed my life in more ways than not and totally Positive. I won't go into details about Reiki in this blog but in the near future I will. Today Is sunday...my favorite day of the week...my personal day to rest and recharge lol. Last night the radio show I host went well, my passion and motivation for hosting the show is now coming back thankfully.....I have realized how BLESSED I truly am, and I do NOT want to take ANY blessings foregranted whatsoever.  Before I wrap this blog up I want to say a big thank you to ALL of YOU who stop by and read my blogs..I appreciate ALL the diverse people and great nations that take the time to read the topics and thoughts and such that I blog about. Again Thank You All! Feel free to Follow, Share, Comment, or just enjoy the read. Much Love and Peace to each and everyone of you. If YOU have ANY topics/issues you would like to see me blog or touch base on Please feel free to let me know just send me an email: mr.denniskelly@gmail.com         Thank you Friends!
                                                                                         Truly, Dennis Kelly
