Hi Friends, I hope all who celebrated had a wonderful holiday season this year. I spent most of my time with family, friends and loved ones. For Christmas eve, we celebrated at my parents home. It was priceless watching my little nephew as he opened his gifts..his eyes would open wide with every present he opened. He also knows the TRUE meaning of celebrating this holiday and I personally think that is way more important than ANYTHING else. On Christmas day the family celebrated at my aunt's estate in the countryside. It was very nice to see my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The food was great also too lol. Then on December 26th (yesterday) at 5:00a.m. I had to have yet another urology surgery, so yes I am still in recovery mode and still in a lot of physical pain. I woke this morning feeling horrible as expected, finally was able to make it to the kitchen for some coffee. I had a lot of work to do today.....most was for the radio show and other works that I will announce soon. I did however get another audition notice today for a stage production that is approx;10-15 shows per week for 10 weeks IF I get the part. I am unable to audition tomorrow due to surgery recovery and prepping for the last radio show of 2013. The casting director is kindly working around my schedule so that I may audition. That is not normal of a casting director, so I am very thankful that this particular one is ever so gracious to me. She is also one of the top casting directors in the mid-west. Moving on.....earlier today as I was preparing my script for the Saturday Night Ride radio show uncut, (internet version of the show) on spreaker.com and SOON iHeartRadio....so I was at the end of prepping getting ready to broadcast and then I got a call from a family member letting me know that one of my 22 year old cousins had Died last night......needless to say this shook me to my core....yet another reality reminder of what is truly important in life and how much WE ALL need to appreciate each day we are allowed to live... it really made me wonder if this would WAKE other people of ALL AGES up to appreciating their lives, or will they stay the same way, ungrateful and unappreciate life. All of us has to make some clear decisions about who we are and what we want in this life. As well, consider there is always a certain amount of time wasted each day that could be used for positive fruitful activities of meaning. So, what is it that crops up in life that bothers me? The issue of not living for today, comes from wishing things were different, and hoping that the next pinnacle, milestone, or material possession will create the happiness so longed for.
The big problem with this kind of thinking and attitude is one that expresses dissatisfaction/being unhappy of where you are now; in other words, having an attitude that is more about being dissatisfied than being satisfied. It means that this type of person cannot appreciate the moment; cannot find value or appreciate where they are today; and, cannot be happy living with what they have today. Instead they wish that everything change right now so they can have what they want, when they want it, without having to wait, work, or sacrifice. Most americans that I know want a "microwave" life, they want it quick no matter what precious energy they may lose.
Maybe, for those  parents in this new age, have spoiled the children too much? I asked myself... Maybe we have given them all those things that we didn't get as children and in doing so have gone too far? Part of the reason for this self-serving attitude may be our fault through our material expression of love. There are adults that have the same attitude not just kids.
One of the things that I see to be lost with people or those who seek to live tomorrow instead of today, is that each day is precious. Each day can be full of new delights, new beginnings, new fun, new experiences, new challenges, and new opportunities etc.
We ALL have only one day at a time to live. There is only a certain amount of time in each day and it is up to YOU to do with it the best you can. The worst we can do is to waste it by wishing and hoping for things in the future and thinking that this wishful future will be able to make us whole and happy. The real happiness of life is how you see and use each day I think anyway, not what you think will be beyond today. This is not to say that we shouldn't have aspirations for future goals. What I am saying, though, is that EVERYONE needsto value each day and each other for what it offers, for what it gives you and to stop wishing/wasting your life away. There are thousands upon thousands of people who wish they could go back in time to do just what you can do now if only you see the real picture. My HOPE for you is that by reading this little blog it will remind you or make YOU start to appreciate each day good and bad,I know easier said than done, but atleast TRY. I know friends this blog isn't super interesting but it's my blog and this is what's on my mind and heart to share with you all.
